August 17 – Clearance

Suzy is brought to you today by a paper towel.

I think I learned the word “clearance” at five.  But I used to annoy my sisters with questions about WHY the word meant “sale.”  It didn’t make any sense and frustrated me.  I argued that they should use simpler words, like ones Mom (who couldn’t read English) would understand.

  1. aww. You know, this one just makes me kind of sad. Although Suzy is pretty funny… I love her statement/reason to go to the store.
